TRAIL TIPS!
Cabezon Road is a reasonable gravel road, sometimes a bit rough from weather, but most vehicles will have no problem accessing the site.
This unnamed area South of the Seismosaurus Trail contains numerous hoodoos, rock formations, and interesting features worth exploring. There is no trail to the area, so use of a gpx file is recommended. Numerous two-track 'roads' weave through the area with unknown destinations and origins. It is not important to follow the route given here, but is helpful in locating the interesting parts of the hike.
The variety of features provides for an enjoyable outing, though most of the features are packed into the southern region of the hike. There are numerous features not shown here, including small pour-overs, various types and colors of soil, and additional rock formations, which makes exploration inviting. The hike is not long - a bit over 3 miles - and can be extended through exploration and enjoyed most times of the day.
